Our client a Leading Financial Services Organisation is seeking a Trust Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of all the financial and statutory reporting functions and will get the opportunity to work in this dynamic environment. Duties to include:
- To assist in the preparation of annual financial statement and statutory returns
- Assist in the preparation of draft annual tax returns within agreed timeframes
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statement
- Assist in preparing quarterly regulatory returns (BAS, APRA, ABS)
- Participate in ad hoc projects
- Assist in calculation and payment of monthly fees and distributions
Skills to include:
- Degree and CPA/CA qualification is mandatory
- Minimum of 3 years experience within a Unit Trust Accounting role in a similar organisation
- Excellent Computer skills including mainframe general ledger and Excel & Word
- Strong organisation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and writer
- Sound understanding of Unit Trusts and Pooled Superannuation Trusts
