        Strategic planning director jobs are the types of jobs involving the analysis of market sales and the development of strategies for the purpose of helping the company achieve its goals and objectives. As the strategic planning director, you need to identify the company's objectives, and develop the company's plans and policies to help achieve the company's goals.

        One of your responsibilities as the strategic planning director is to maximise the performance of your team. You need to exude enthusiasm to motivate your team to do their work with the best of their abilities.

        Strategic planning director jobs also require you to have superior skills in both quantitative and qualitative aspects and you also need to have excellent skills in both oral and written communication forms. You also need to have an executive presence that will allow you to develop a rapport with the different levels of the organisation.

        The academic requirement for strategic planning director jobs includes a bachelor's degree in management or marketing and a master's degree in business administration (MBA). You need to have at least two to three years of experience as an analyst before you qualify for a directorial position in strategic planning. Most employers require you to have a working experience in business analysis, operations consulting, product development, product management, strategic marketing, and strategic planning.

        Strategic planning is divided into three parts: the formulation, the implementation, and the evaluation. In the formulation of strategy, you need to perform studies and analyse data to come up with the perfect business strategy based on the company's objectives. The studies that you need to conduct are situation analysis, self-evaluation, and competitor anaylsis. You need to make sure that the specific company strategies that you have formulated will be implemented. After the implementation and execution of the strategies, you still need to evaluate the effectiveness of the formulated strategy.
