This large Government agency requires an experienced Communications and Media Officer to promote National Reform projects that will improve the lives of Australian communities.

Utilising your expert media and communications knowledge and experience you will assist the Media Manager to develop a communication strategy covering NSW and ACT.

You will also:

• Assist in the development of promotional products for the Office, including Indigenous specific material relevant to the National Partnership on Remote Service Delivery.
• Assist in daily media monitoring, particularly regional media.
• Assist in the management of local events and or events involving Ministers.
• Assist in the preparation of written material including responses to media, press releases and speeches.
• Ad hoc media and communication duties as requested

Qualifications required:

Demonstrated media experience, preferably in a government agency
Broad understanding of social policy issues including Indigenous Affairs.
Tertiary qualifications in media/communications/journalism preferred.
