Fund management encompasses managing the investments of clients such as business institutions and private investors. It involves managing a client's assets to meet investment targets. Fund management has become a huge sector of the banking industry and has been responsible for accumulating remittances in the trillions. Fund managers may refer to a business entity that provides fund management services or bank officers that are in charge of funds and investments from clients. Fund manager jobs are available to the individuals who are willing to perform these functions.

Fund managers may perform bank officer functions along with other duties that include:

• Market analysis- fund managers should do extensive research on global financial situations and forecast its short-term and long-term effects on the fund.
• Choosing of feasible stocks and assets- the main reason why fund managers are employed because allocating on feasible assets will greatly impact the fund.
• Implementation of plans- a fund manager outlines the measures to be taken and presents them to the investors for confirmation. Once given the go signal, the fund manager should be the one in charge of the plan's execution
• Overseeing investments and their progress

Job Requirements

A lot of business schools have now included Investment Management courses into their curriculum. Still, applicants who have a bachelor's degree in any business course are considered, along with those who have bank-related working experience of five years. a graduate degree is required for those who want to climb up the ranks of fund management. Though there are some characteristics the job requires that wont necessarily be learned in school, such as the ability to choose investment ventures that translates into
long-term investments. The fund management industry has been known to hunt and employing these types of people even without formal job requirements. Fund manager jobs are known to be extremely rewarding salary-wise.
