    Superannuation is a pension scheme where employees allot a portion of their salary into a fund that can be used on their retirement. A superannuation consultant gives sound financial advice and helps a pensioner make sure that he goes through the proper processes on his retirement fund. They make sure that a client achieves maximum feasibility and minimum risk from their pension plan.

    Superannuation consultants are required to have broad knowledge in banking and government procedures regarding pension schemes.

    Superannuation consultants can stand for a client in performing various transactions, especially clients who don't have the technical know-how regarding pensions. Their job entails meeting up with people of different status, so good conversation skills are a must. These skills are put into good use when explaining the terms and conditions of a retirement fund to a client. Aside from this superannuation consultants are required to perform the following tasks:

    • Analysing feasibility of market conditions to a pension plan
    • Record keeping of business transactions
    • Mapping out a pension plan for clients
    • Make recommendations and assist the client in making sound decisions
    • Carefully review the client's salary deductions and make sure of consistency
    • Perform occasional management duties for the client

    Superannuation is a huge income generator for both private and public sectors, and the demant for superannuation consultants has been steadily increasing year after year.

    Job Requirements

    In order to be a superannuation consultant, you need to be a graduate of any business related course, or at leas five years of bank experience. Graduate degree holders are expected to climb the ranks faster. Superannuation consultant jobs are relatively high-paying jobs, so you can expect an annual salary of $40,000 or more. The greater your skills and knowledge, the better your salary will be.
