What you should have

If you want to land safety & training supervisory jobs, you should have a degree in occupational health and safety or environmental or safety engineering coupled with years of experience in health and safety management within the building and construction industry. You must also be eligible for professional certification as determined by the location of your employment.

You also must have knowledge of building jobs processes and methods, as well as construction regulations. Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and legislations is useful. You must also possess a strong work ethic by demonstrating initiative and working with little or no supervision.

You must also demonstrate good communication and presentation skills. You must also have the ability to use computer technology in your record-keeping tasks. You must also possess a driver's licence.
