Ambulance driver jobs

Aside from driving the ambulance, you are expected to assist in transporting or lifting sick, injured or convalescent patients in or out of the ambulance. You are also expected to remove and replace soiled linens and equipment and replace supplies and dispose of used medical supplies.

Ambulance care assistant jobs

As ambulance assistant, you're required to assist old people, physically disabled individuals and those with mental health problem out of their home and into the ambulance and vice versa. An important part of your job is to show kindness and respect to patients and their relatives.

Ambulance technician jobs

Ambulance technicians respond to emergency calls. As ambulance technician, you're tasked to support a paramedic in the assessment, diagnosis, and administration of first aid and CPR during the journey to hospital.

You're also responsible for making routine checks on your vehicle, cleaning and checking of ambulance equipment and replacing medical supplies.

Ambulance paramedic jobs

Part of the rapid response unit, ambulance paramedics deal with medical emergencies as well as complex non-emergency hospital admissions, transfers and discharges.

Your job as paramedic include administering first aid on patients during the journey to hospital. Part of your job is to keep accurate patient records and checking the efficiency of ambulance and on-board equipment.

Generally, ambulance jobs require that you must be at least 18 years old and licensed to drive a bus and good driving record. You must also have good general standard of education. A first aid training certificate is an advantage. For paramedics, some additional qualifications may be required.
