With over 100 plants globally and a strong presence locally, this business is a Tier One Automotive Supplier working hand-in-hand with Toyota, Ford and Holden. Their operation evolves around Lean Manufacturing/TPS concepts which have been embedded since inception. Due to the recent acquisition of new business with a key customer, this business is on the market for a talented Project Engineer to ensure project deliverables are met and the best outcome is achieved.

Reporting into the Product Design Manager you will lead a small team of CAD Designers and take full ownership of all product design projects, driving them from design stage through to commercialisation. You will be the chairman of regular meetings with a key client and will facilitate regular meetings and give direction to design, tooling, procurement, production and logistics so to ensure the project deliverables are met.

A qualified mechanical engineer you will have in-depth experience managing new product design projects within a heavy industry (ideally automotive) from design to inception. Exposure to injection mouling / blow moulding processes will be highly advantageous. Of equal importance will be your experience working in cross functional role and capacity to communicate and influence key stake holders within a project.
