The role aims to:

  • Develop, maintain and apply econometric public transport models
  • Perform project appraisal/evaluation (including benefit/cost analysis) of public transport infrastructure and service projects and programs
  • Provide economic and financial advice about issues relevant to public transport planning and strategy
  • Provide training to less experienced colleagues.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with diverse parties.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Demonstrate practical experience in the development and application of econometric models, particularly in a transport and/or infrastructure context and ideally in a public transport context
  • Demonstrate practical experience in project appraisal/evaluation (including benefit/cost analysis), particularly in a transport and/or infrastructure context and ideally in a public transport context. Practical experience in multi-criteria analysis would be advantageous
  • Demonstrate correspondence and report writing experience.
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with diverse parties.
