Complaint Investigator (two positions)

    Provide an advisory and investigation service to staff and department heads to effectively and efficiently manage complaints in a service orientated environment. Ma nage complaints referred for investigation. Liaise with key stakeholders to gather evidence and ensure all stakeholders are kept updated on the investigation. Analyse evidence and prepare briefs with recommendations so appropriate action can be taken. Ensure appropriate confidential records are maintained and the database is up to date. Support managers by coaching, mentoring and training.

    Criteria: Expertise and/or qualifications in investigation, e.g. NSW Commercial and Private Inquiry Agents Licence. Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, leading investigations in complaint management, including a sound understanding of obtaining evidence, interviewing and preparing briefs of evidence and the ability to provide timely and accurate advice/reports. Well-developed analytical, problem solving and decision making skills including the proven ability to solve complex problems, negotiate outcomes and effectively manage protracted issues. The proven ability to provide authoritative written and oral advice to management and staff. Sound interpersonal skills including a demonstrated capability to communicate and collaborate effectively and build cooperative working relationships across the organisation and with relevant stakeholders. Proven organisational skills with an ability to meet deadlines and achieve results. Ability to interpret and apply HR/IR instruments.
