Senior HR Advisor - Information Systems

    As a member of the Information Systems Management Team, as our Senior Human Resources Advisor you will be responsible for providing proactive advice and support to the IT department, assisting them to meet departmental goals through the delivery of human resources processes, tools and solutions.

    You\'ll need appropriate tertiary qualifications and significant practical experience in a human resources generalist environment. Assertiveness and the ability to influence senior management are the non negotiables as is the ability to coach and develop others.  You\'ll also need a broad professional knowledge and understanding of human resources principles and practices together with excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, people management, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
    High levels of personal drive and the ability to perform under pressure will ensure success.

    In terms of specific responsibilities, you will:

    • Provide leadership and direction to the department with regards to human resources processes and policies
    • Contribute to the ongoing realization of the 2010 Information Systems Strategic Plan
    • Provide leadership to a part time Training Coordinator
    • Facilitate the implementation of cyclical human resources activities on an annual basis
    • Project manage human resources improvement initiatives within the IT Department
    • Contribute to the development of human resources policy and processes
