As the Commercial Manager - Parramatta you will be responsible for achieving financial and business objectives by managing resources and expenses while building strong networks within the community.
This role is responsible for the Commercial team which initially will consist of over 20 team members with the potential to rapidly expand. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your financial and people management skills and business acumen in a senior management role.
The key responsibilities for this role are: - Achieving annual financial objectives with a particular focus on reviewing profitability
- Aligning the operations to meet Retail standards, service methodologies and go-to-market strategies
- Revenue generation through client retention and growth
- Overall management of branch activities, team and P&L through ongoing monitoring and controls
- Promotion of Aon in the local community
- Direct relationship management for a select group of existing clients
- Recruitment, development, day-to-day management and retention of team members
- Delivery of quality services to existing and potential clients
- Active pursuit of new business achieved by implementing sales metrics and activities
- Coaching team members to achieve sales and new business targets
- Mentoring team members in relation to insurance, compliance and process functions
- Continually exceeding the benchmark return
The skills and experience required are: - Thorough knowledge, experience and technical understanding of the general insurance industry
- Understanding of the Retail Industry specialisation within Aon
- Knowledge of SME and middle market insurance requirements and relevant distribution needs
- Strong leadership qualities and an ability to motivate staff in the achievement of objectives
- Well developed and proven communication skills
- Proven people management skills including coaching and mentoring
