Drafting Jobs
Drafting Jobs are the types of work which involves the drawing precise and accurate graphical representation of things such as equipment, gears, structures, machines. In drafting, the drawn objects are represented in various ways such as top views, side views, and cross-sectional views or perspectives that uses vanishing points and horizon lines. The drawings serve as visual explanations of how the structures are going to be designed, built, and finished.
The people who wish to pursue drafting jobs are called drafters or draftspersons. Draftspersons have to be comfortable in terms of working with different precision instruments like triangles, mechanical pens, and T-squares. Because of the advancement in technology, some draftspersons are now required to familiarize themselves with different drafting software programs such as AutoCAD.
Drafting jobs require drafters with impressive free hand drawing abilities, great communication skills, outstanding creative talents, keen eye for details, extensive construction methodology knowledge, and excellent drafting abilities.
