Management jobs come in various fields or areas of practice, and usually involve executive or managerial positions within a company, corporation, agency, or institution. Management jobs are mainly concerned with the manipulation and use of financial resources, natural resources, human resources, and technological resources for coordination among executive and employees.
Management jobs are classified according to levels, which are: top management level, which is responsible for making long-term strategic decisions; middle management level, which is tasked to carry out orders and decisions from the top management; and lower management, which is tasked to make sure that all decisions and plans of the top and middle management are followed.
The basic operations or functions which are involved in managerial jobs are planning, organizing, motivating or leading, and controlling or monitoring. Business management jobs today are divided into six branches or fields, which are: Human Resource Management, Production or Operations Management, Strategic Management, Marketing Management, Financial Management, and Information Technology Management.
