Unemployment figure rises

Figures released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics showed Australia's unemployment rate climbed to a nine month high in November.


The jobless rate went up to 4.5 percent, seasonally adjusted from the October figure of 4.4%.


Employment increased 52,600 to 10,583,200. Full-time employment increased by 8,200 to 7.594 million and part-time employment increased by 44,400 to 2.989 million.
