Hollywood writers strike ends

14 February 2008

More than 90% of 3,775 members of Writers Guild of America voted to end their strike and return back to work after union leaders had earlier endorsed a contract settlement with Hollywood studios.

The major sticking point with the new agreement was compensating writers for work in new media.
