What to wear to an interview - Women

16 June 2008

Your resume has gotten you to the interview stage. The best jobs are within your grasp! The next step is preparing for the job interview. Remember that appearance is vital. By visually impressing your future boss, you're sending across a message. You want your message to say "I'm a skilled person who will work hard, get the jobs done and I will be an asset to your company."

Go for:

  • Go conservative. Avoid flashy trends.
  • Tailored jackets, skirts and pants.
  • Coordinated blouses.
  • Shoes with a solid heel. You don't want to trip over because your heels are too high.
  • With jewellery, less is more. Go for simple pieces.
  • Natural looking makeup is best.
  • Opt for a French manicure.

If you're unsure about your choice, ask a friend for their opinion.

Remember your visual message while selecting clothes for your interview and you'll be that much closer to getting your dream jobs.
