The Opportunity
The Department of Social Work at Monash University wishes to appoint a Research Fellow for an ARC funded project to investigate an emerging issue in Australian Criminal Justice - the management of aging offenders in prison and assisting their transition into the community. Duties will include interviewing prisoners, corrections staff and other stakeholders, coordinating the project management committee, reviewing and preparing surveys and questionnaires and drafting the strategic framework emerging from the study.
The applicant ideally will have a higher degree in the Social Sciences preferably at PhD level, knowledge of the criminal justice system, excellent organisational skills and a thorough knowledge of research methodology.
