Hays Education is working with the Department of Education in Western Australia to recruit for their schools.
This school in Northam, WA, is seeking a qualified Agriculture teacher. The right candidate must have experience teaching lower school Agriculture, Farm Skills and Animal Production. This position is to start August 2008.
Northam is located adjacent to the eastern boundary of the Perth metropolitan area. Situated just over one hours drive from Perth, Northam sits astride the Avon River in the heart of the Avon Valley. It is the largest inland town in Western Australia and the commercial centre for the rich surrounding farming district. From its humble beginnings in 1836 as a relatively small agricultural village, Northam became the jumping off point in 1890s for prospectors pursuing their dreams of fabulous wealth in the Goldfields.
The school is the oldest Senior High School outside the Metropolitan area, having been established in 1921. As such its beautiful old buildings exemplify the tradition and history of the school, whilst its ongoing upgrades give it excellent facilities, especially in Information Technology. Our motto is 'Achievement' and our mission statement is to foster pride and a sense of community among students, staff and parents/caregivers.
