          People with printing jobs are involved in the setting up and operation of small offset printing presses. More commonly referred to as offset printers, people with printing jobs usually work in instant print shops or in-house printing presses.

          Tasks and responsibilities

          The main responsibility of people with printing jobs is to ensure the duplication of consistent high image quality materials through the process of offset printing. Offset printing is a type of printing technique that involves the transfer of inked images from printing plates to papers.

          The first task of people with printing jobs is to prepare the plates, impression cylinders, and blankets that are needed in offset printing. The mentioned parts have to be prepared on the small offset lithographic printing presses that are needed for the printing process. People with printing jobs then load papers into the feeding mechanisms in the printing presses. They then move on to the operation of the small offset lithographic printing presses to start the transfer of inked images from the plates to the papers. People with printing jobs have to monitor the printing process to ensure the quality of the printed materials. People with printing jobs are also responsible for undertaking maintenance and repair functions to ensure the functionality and efficiency of the small offset printing lithographic printing presses.

          Requirements and qualifications
