Booking Agent Jobs
People with booking agent jobs are involved in the organisation and arrangement of travel or accommodation reservations. It is the duty of the people with booking agent jobs to make travel and accommodation reservations for clients who wish to travel. People with booking agent jobs usually work in travel agencies, airports, bus stations, hotels, and train stations.
Tasks and responsibilities
The main responsibility of the people with booking agent jobs is to arrange reservations to ensure their clients with a worry-free trip or tour. People with booking agent jobs perform customer service duties by answering client queries and granting customer requests. They arrange and process flight or hotel reservations to secure plane seats or hotel rooms for their clients. People with booking agent jobs need to have decent mathematical aptitude because it is also their responsibility to collect the reservation fees.
Requirements and qualifications
A degree in tourism or any related field is the entry requirement in booking agent jobs. Some employers require applicants to undergo tourism apprenticeships before they can be considered for booking agent jobs. Background and experience in operation management, retail travel sales, or project planning will be very beneficial in booking agent jobs.
